Well, I have returned from China! No time to write tonight, but here are a few pictures for your enjoyment. The top photo is the National Library of China (I'm a librarian, what can I say?). The next picture was taken at the top of a mountain. Don't worry, I didn't "cleap" over the edge or anything (gotta love Chinese signs translated into English). And lastly, the Great Wall - an amazing and very breathtaking sight (breathtaking for more than one reason - it's beautiful but also rather terrifying for people who do not like heights).

Ooohhh...pretty! I love the "cleaping" sign, and I can totally picture you quivering atop the Great Wall. : ) If you got to go inside the library, what was it like? Very modern with lots of new technology, or rather old school?
Gotta love the Engrish.
Welcome back.
Liz - The library was very much like the libraries in the States. I could go inside in the atrium but I couldn't get in any of the stacks (needed a library card for that). I posted a picture of the cool reading area on my flickr page. I'll be posting more pictures online somewhere at some point....
Nye - I wish I had taken more pictures of the Engrish over there, but sadly that is the only one I have. It's pretty funny stuff!
Stacy - Will tell you about the trip soon! China is an awesome place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. :)
